The Underdogs’ Ideal Entrepreneur
What does it take for an entrepreneur to create something in an opaque situation? Underdogs’ insights from meeting with more than 15,000 entrepreneurs tell us it’s called execution.
At the end of the day, the entrepreneurial talent that Underdogs fosters is the act-preneur, someone who creates ups through execution.
Underdogs defines an act-preneur as “an entrepreneur who creates a chain reaction of innovation by turning improbable possibilities into reality through execution.

Together with Hanyang University’s Impact Research Lab, a social impact research organization, Underdogs built an act-preneurship competency model to measure the competencies of act-preneurs. The Act-Preneurship Competency Model, which consists of 5 competencies and 15 sub-competencies, is used at various points in time and situations, such as during the planning and startup/closing phases of an underdog’s education program, to strengthen the Act-Preneur ecosystem.
