Space Planning & Operations

Over the past nine years, we’ve met nearly 15,000 entrepreneurs and seen the importance of immersive spaces for entrepreneurship and the need for space-based businesses. That’s why Underdogs has designed a dedicated space for entrepreneurs to work, inspire, and grow together, from start to finish, and combines entrepreneurial content so that the space can be built upon and continue to grow.

Based on the data of about 12,000 entrepreneurs, it is an all-in-one process from space planning to construction and interior, space branding and promotion, and space program planning and operation. We plan and customize different types of spaces, such as co-working spaces for startups, select shops for co-selling, and networking spaces for entrepreneurs, to give entrepreneurs the best space to immerse themselves in their business.

Coworking community spaces

Underdogs use their advanced skills to design and run their own coworking community spaces. Starting with Bulgwang 1, located in Seoul Innovation Park, we planned and operated Gunsan 2 with various functions for entrepreneurs in Gunsan, and in 2021, we opened Anguk 3 in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Going forward, we’ll be expanding our unique coworking community spaces across the country, combining spaces with core features for entrepreneurs with original Underdogs content.

Helping social innovators connect and grow Bulgwang 1st Branch

Underdogs’ first space, Bulgwang 1, is located in Seoul Innovation Park, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. Created by the city of Seoul, it was home to more than 240 organizations, including social cooperatives, NGOs, and social enterprises, that were working to build a better society. Among various social innovation organizations, Underdogs operated a community space to discover entrepreneurs, spread entrepreneurial content, and allow fellow entrepreneurs to express their ideas. We’ve opened up some spaces to entrepreneurs for free.

Labs 1 and 2 for entrepreneurial training and talks

A talk and education space for the discovery and development of entrepreneurs that will amplify the stories and content surrounding the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Lounge for small groups

A community space for small groups who want to bounce ideas off each other in a relaxed, free-flowing atmosphere.

Gunsan’s second location to make it easier for local entrepreneurs to start a business

In Gunsan, there is a 75-year-old bakery, Lee Sung-dang. It’s steeped in local history. Five minutes away from here is the Underdogs’ space. Renovating an old building and calling it “Underdogs House,” the space was created to foster local entrepreneurs. Provide co-working and networking spaces for entrepreneurs to think about and solve local problems. The ground floor is home to a café and a select shop with locally sourced products for both locals and locally-minded tourists. Keep an eye out for startup teams that will become trademarks of Gunsan, like the bakery Lee Sungdang.

Meeting rooms for local entrepreneurial teams and a shared kitchen where they can cook simple meals and eat together.

An Guk’s 3rd location breathes new life into Jongno, Seoul’s original neighborhood

Ankguk 3 is located in Jongno, a long-standing neighborhood that retains much of Seoul’s original character. Focused on coworking spaces for entrepreneurs, it consists of networking spaces such as galleries and meeting rooms. We also have a cafe on the ground floor, so everyone can experience the Underdogs space. As an urban renewal area, we are looking forward to revitalizing this street with underdogs who are creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem. Stay tuned for the synergies that Underdogs will create in Warrington-dong.
